A Polygon List Table contains a listing of individual Polygon Tables for use in those programs which can use multiple polygons for plotting, filtering, etc.
! You can store multiple Polygon List Tables in your project database. If you assign detailed names they'll be easy to distinguish when you're selecting which to use. Polygon List Tables can be accessed via the Project Manger tab, under the Project Tables | Map/Model Tables grouping.
These tables have a very simple format. Below is an example of a Polygon List Table as displayed in the program editor, along with a graphic example of how this polygons looks when plotted (via the Utilities | Maps | Polygons program).
- Polygon tables contain 4 columns:
- Order: This is assigned automatically by the program. You can edit these if you wish to re-order the file names.
- Because this table is stored in the project database, an ordering number is important so that the vertices are stored in the proper order (and not re-sorted numerically). You don't need to enter this number - they'll be assigned automatically - but you can edit them should you wish to re-order the vertices.
- Polygon Name: List here the names of the separate Polygon Tables in the database, each of which contains a single listing of polygon vertices.
- Border Style: Here you can select for each polygon a line style, color, and thickness for use in polygon maps.
- Fill: Here you can select for each polygon a pattern design, foreground color, and background color for use in polygon maps.
- You may list as many Polygon Table names as you wish in the Polygon List table.
