Excel Import Format

Note the following general requirements for the Excel file to be imported into the Borehole Manager:

• The file must be an XLS file compatible with Microsoft Excel.
• The structure of the XLS file to be imported is the same as that generated with the Borehole Manager's File / Export / Excel tool.
• It can contain any/all of the worksheets that are listed below, though only the Location worksheet is required and must contain data. You do not need to include blank worksheets.
• For easiest import, the column order layout of the worksheets in Excel should be identical to those shown in the examples, except where noted. If you have a different column order or extra columns you'll need to map them manually.
• The titles of the worksheets do not need to match those shown in the examples, though you'll save a step in the import process if they do.
• Avoid blank lines in the XLS worksheets - the program will skip any data listed below a blank line.

Tip: For a quick overall view of how to set up this Excel file, try exporting one of the sample data sets, such as that in My Documents\RockWorks Data\Samples to an Excel file. The exported file will display the required format of the file to be imported.
