Follow these steps to edit the current RockPlot3D view's Aquifers Table.
! The changes you make to this table will not affect any existing logs or aquifer surfaces in the 3D display. Their colors were established upon diagram creation. You can adjust some of their settings manually using the settings described under RockPlot3D Data Items. The changes described here will affect the aquifer legend only.
- Expand the Tables heading in the data pane.
- Double-click on the Aquifers item. The program will display the Aquifers Table Edit window.
This window will list all of the aquifer names stored in the project database's Aquifer Types Table. As you click on each name, the settings to the right will change.
- Click on a listed aquifer name to make the editing changes.
- Caption: You can edit the text shown here to change how the name will be displayed in the aquifer legend.
- Color: Here you can choose a different color for the aquifer in the legend. Note that this will NOT change the color for the aquifer in any log or surface in the current display; be cautious. This is most typically used to lighten/darken a color in the legend to match more closely the representation of the aquifer in the 3D image.
- Show in Legend: Insert a check here to display the aquifer name and color in the legend. By default, this setting will be activated for only those types already established with "Show in Legend" active in the project database.
- New Entry: Click here to add an aquifer name to the legend.
- Delete: Click on this button to delete the currently-selected aquifer name.
- Sort on:
- Names: Choose this option to sort the aquifers in the legend alphabetically; click the Sort button re-sort the names.
- G-Values: Choose this to sort the aquifers in the legend by their G value; click the Sort button to re-sort.
- Apply: Click the Apply button to apply the changes you have made to the table.
- Click the OK button to close the Table Edit window and update the diagram legend. The changes will also apply to subsequent aquifer legends that you insert (Edit | Add Legend | Aquifers).
