Open a LogPlot8 Data File

To open a LogPlot data file (.ldat8) that exists already on disk, you have a few options:

Using the LogPlot Project Manager

1. Open a project folder into the LogPlot Project Manager.
2. Expand the Data Files heading, and the Data Files (.ldat8) sub-heading.
3. Double-click on the name of the .ldat8 file you wish to open.
   

Using the LogPlot menus

1. Click in an existing Data Editor window or (if none are open) create a new Data Editor window.
2. In that Data Editor window, select the Open button from the Data Editor's toolbar, or the Open command from the Data Editor's File menu.

   LogPlot will display a prompt window in which you may specify the file to open. The default file type, when you select File | Open from the Editor window, is .ldat8.

3. Select the file you wish to open (accessing other drives or directories as necessary) by clicking on the name to highlight it.
4. Click on the Open button.

The program will read the file and display the data in the appropriate datsheets in the Editor window.
