Add, Delete, and Rename Edit Notes Entries

Edit Note datasheets are used to enter text to be displayed in an "Edit Notes" entity in the log header or footer

The LogPlot Data Editor's Data menu, and its right-click pop-up menu, offer the following tools for adding, deleting, and renaming rows in Edit Note datasheets.

 

How to Add an Edit Note Row to a Datasheet

  1. Click on the tab of the Edit Note datasheet to be modified to make it active.
  2. Select the Data | Add an Edit Note Entry menu option, or right-click in any of the datasheet's cells and select Add an Edit Note Entry.
  3. Type in the name for the Edit Note item. This must match, character-for-character, the name that is assigned to the corresponding item in the log design. The match is not case-sensitive.
  4. Click OK. LogPlot will add the row to the datasheet at the bottom of the listing.

 

How to Delete an Edit Note Row from a Datasheet

  1. Click on the tab of the Edit Note datasheet to be modified to make it active.
  2. Click in the row of the item that you want to delete.
  3. Select the Data | Delete an Edit Note Entry menu option, or right-click in that cell and select Delete an Edit Note Entry. LogPlot will prompt you to confirm the deletion of the selected row.
  4. Click Yes to proceed with the deletion. Click No to cancel the operation.

 

How to Rename an Edit Note Row in a Datasheet

  1. Click on the tab of the Edit Note datasheet to be modified to make it active.
  2. Click in the row of the item that you want to rename.
  3. Select the Data | Rename Edit Note Name menu option, or right-click in that cell and select Rename Edit Note Name.
  4. Into the displayed prompt type in the new name for the Edit Note item. This must match, character-for-character, the name that is assigned to the corresponding item in the log design. The match is not case-sensitive.
