The Arrow Attributes window is used to define or to modify the location, size, layer, and appearance for map or diagram arrows. This window is displayed when you edit an existing arrow or insert a new arrow into a map or diagram.
Appearance Options
- Line Style: Click on the line box to select the color, line style and line thickness for the arrow's line.
- Arrow Head:
- Line Style: Choose this option for the arrow head to be drawn with line segments to match the style of the line, above.
- Filled: Choose this for the arrow head to be drawn as a filled triangle. Select the fill color using the color box.
- Bidirectional: Check this box if an arrow head is to be placed on both the starting and ending point of the line. If unchecked, the arrow head is placed on the ending point.
- Head Angle: Type in the angle for the arrow head.
- Head Length: Type in the length for the arrow head, in your map or diagram units.
Location Options
- Layer: Use this setting to select the layer to which the arrow is to be associated. See Working with Layers for more information.
- Endpoints
- Start: X (Easting), Y (Northing): These coordinates define the location for the beginning endpoint of the arrow.
- End: X (Easting), Y (Northing): These coordinates define the location for the final endpoint of the arrow.
- The location and length of the arrow can also be changed by clicking and dragging on the plot window itself; see Editing Graphics for details.
General Options
- Visible: Insert a check in this box for the arrow to be visible in the drawing or map. Remove the check-mark to hide the arrow.
