The Notes tab in the RockWorks Project Settings is used to access a Rich Text Format (RTF) editing pane for entering miscellaneous information about the site, the data, the staff, whatever. You can even include graphics. This information is stored in the project database.
If the Notes pane is not visible, click the small button to the left of the project folder name. This toggles between "+" (expand) and "-" (hide) the Project Settings tabs.
- Open the project into RockWorks, if necessary.
- Expand the Project Settings pane if it is not currently displayed.
- Click on the Notes tab.
- Enter the information to be stored for the project. There's no strict limit to the amount of text and graphics you can enter.
- Use the Edit menu tools to cut, copy, paste, and select data. If you have information already stored in another application, such as Microsoft Word, you can paste it here.
- Use the Format menu options to format the text.
- The data is automatically saved to the database (in the ProjDesc table), so when you are done editing, just click into a different tab.
