Survey Tab: Set up the Downhole Well Survey

If your LogPlot data files contain an Orientation datasheet, you can use the Survey settings to specify how the data is entered, so that it's recorded properly in RockWorks.

1. Click on the Configure window's Survey tab.
   
2. Select how the downhole well survey data are entered in LogPlot.
   • Choose Dip Negatively from Horizontal if the LogPlot surveys are entered with "-90" representing straight down, "0" representing horizontal, and "90" representing straight up.
   • Choose Dip Positively from Vertical if the LogPlot surveys are entered with "0" representing straight down, "90" representing horizontal, and "180" representing straight up.
   • Choose Dip Positively from Horizontal if the LogPlot surveys are entered with "-90" representing straight down, "0" horizontal, and "-90" straight up.

3. Click the Next button to proceed to the next step.
