Your LogPlot data files can contain multiple datasheets with the following data:
- Fillbar datasheets used to plot generic patterns in a depth interval. This information can be imported from one or more datasheets into the RockWorks Patterns table.
- Point Symbol datasheets used to plot depth-related symbols such as water levels. You can import these data from one or more datasheets into the RockWorks Symbols table for each borehole.
- Symbol datasheets used to plot symbols between two depths, such as sampling methods. You can import these data from one or more datasheets into the RockWorks Symbol table for each borehole.
- Bitmap datasheets used to display depth-related images in the body of the log. These data can be imported from one or more datasheets into the RockWorks Bitmaps table.
Follow these steps to import these data.
- Click on the Configure window’s Patterns/Symbols/Bitmaps tab.
- Use the prompts to map the LogPlot data to the RockWorks tables:
- Patterns: The name(s) of the LogPlot Fillbar datasheets will be shown here. Insert a check in the check-box for each fillbar to be imported. If you choose more than one, they will be merged into the single RockWorks Patterns table.
- Symbols: The name(s) of the LogPlot Symbols and Point Symbols datasheets will be shown here. Insert a check in the check-box for each block of symbols to be imported. If you choose more than one, they will be merged into the single RockWorks Symbol table.
- Bitmaps: The name(s) of the LogPlot Bitmap Column datasheets will be shown here. Insert a check in the check-box for each block of bitmaps to be imported. If you choose more than one, they will be merged into the single RockWorks Bitmaps table.
- Default Pattern: LogPlot Fillbar worksheets are not required to have a specific pattern design defined for the depth inverval - the default in the log design can be used. So, for import into RockWorks, where a pattern design is required, click on the sample to choose a default pattern to use for those cases.
- Click the Next button to proceed to the next step.
