RockWorks | Datasheet | Columns | Merge
Use this RockWorks Datasheet program to merge the contents of two columns into a single column with a user-declared separator. This is also available in the Borehole Manager as a right-click option.
- Data Columns
- Input:
- Column A: Select from this drop-down list the name of the column in the datasheet whose contents are to be merged with "Column B," below.
- Column B: Select the name of the column in the datasheet to be merged with "Column A," above.
- Output:
- Result: Select the name of the column in the main datasheet into which the merged items will be recorded. You may select one of the input columns if you wish. Any existing values in this column will be overwritten.
- Options
- Separator: Type into this prompt the character(s) to be used to separate the merged values from the two input columns.
- Access the RockWorks Datasheet program tab.
- Open the data file to be manipulated, if necessary.
- Click on the Columns menu above the datasheet, and select the Merge option.
- Enter the requested information, described above.
- Click theProcess button at the bottom of the window to continue.
The program will list the contents of the two input columns in the selected output column, separated by the specified character(s).
