Lock the Design Screen

Items in the current log design can be clicked on with your mouse and dragged to another position in the display, as described for the header/footer and log body.

New to LogPlot8 is the ability to lock the design window to prevent any items from being moved with the mouse or arrow keys, or items being deleted using the keyboard Delete key.

1. Click in the LogDesigner program tab.
   
2. Locate the Lock icon below the design panes.

   

3. Click on the Lock button to lock the position of the design items. When activated it will appear a darker color. Click on the Lock button again to deactivate the lock.
   

When locked, you can click on items in the log design to select them, but you will not be able to change their position using your mouse or the arrow keys on your keyboard. You CAN double-click on an item to access its settings window. You CAN make changes to the position, appearance, and other options via the settings window.
