Raster Symbol Tables

Raster symbols are small, 64-pixel x 64-pixel images that can be used to represent borehole or sample locations in point maps, ternary diagrams, stereonets, etc. In the Borehole Manager each borehole has a vector symbol and a raster symbol associated with it, defined in the Location table. If you are working with data in the RockWorks datasheet, raster symbols can be displayed right within the datasheet simply by defining a column as a "raster-symbol-type" column.

RockWorks is shipped with an existing set of raster symbols installed internally in the program.

There are several ways to access the library of raster symbols:

The currently-selected symbol will be bordered with a solid line. To choose a different symbol, just click on it.

The index number of the currently-selected symbol is shown at the bottom-left corner of the Raster Symbol window. The number of the symbol over which your mouse is currently placed is shown next to that.
