Single and Annual Licenses
If you want to transfer your Single or Annual license for RockWorks to a different computer, you need to remove the license from the current computer. This generates a code which is used to reset the license for activation on a new machine.
- In RockWorks, click on the Current tab in the Licensing window. There you will see the current license status.
- To remove a Single or Annual license from this computer, you have two options:
- Automatically. Using this method, RockWorks will connect with RockWare online to reset the license for a new unlock. This method requires an internet connection.
- Click the Auto Unlock tab.
- Click the Remove Licensing button. The program will prompt you to confirm the license removal.
- Click Yes if you wish to proceed. Click Cancel to cancel the removal.
- If you clicked Cancel you will be returned to the Licensing window. Click Close to close that window.
If you clicked Yes, RockWorks will:
- Remove the Single or Annual license for RockWorks from your computer.
- Connect with RockWare online to record the license removal. This will reset the license for installation onto a different computer.
IMPORTANT: if there was a problem recording the removal to your license record at RockWare, you'll see a message as such. Write down the Uninstall Number that is displayed; RockWare employees will ask you for these numbers to verify the license removal.
- Manually. Using this method, RockWorks will remove the license and display a confirmation code for you to record.
- Click the Manual Unlock tab.
- Click the Remove Licensing button. The program will prompt you to confirm the license removal.
- Click Yes if you wish to proceed. Click Cancel to cancel the removal.
- If you clicked Cancel you will be returned to the Licensing window. Click Close to close that window.
If you clicked Yes, RockWorks will:
- Remove the Single or Annual license for RockWorks from your computer.
- Display the Uninstall Number for you to write down. RockWare staff and/or the Customer Portal will ask you for this to verify the license removal.
! If you have a Network license, the Remove License option iis not available.
Note that this license removal does not affect the Trialware day/use counter.
