Save the Pattern File under a Different Name

LogPlot permits you to maintain multiple Pattern files. You might, for example, wish to save a specific Pattern file in each project's folder, to be sure you have the proper pattern set. (You would probably want to store a specific Keyword file there, too.)

If you wish to save the contents of the Pattern file currently displayed in the Select Pattern window under a different file name, follow these steps.

  1. Select the File button near the top of the Select Pattern window.
  2. Choose the Save As command.
  3. In the displayed window, enter the name under which you wish to save the pattern listing, accessing other drives or folders as necessary. Note that Pattern files must have the file name extension ".RwPat."
  4. Click on the Save button to save the patterns under the new file name.

! This is now considered to be the name of the active Pattern file. The program will use this Pattern file during compiling of logs, and this file will be listed as default under Options | System Files.
