Change the Look of the Curve Columns

Time: 3 minutes

First we will modify the Curve columns.

1. Double-click on the Curve column that’s displaying square symbols. You’ll see the Curve Column Setup window.

   

2. Click on the Appearance tab. You’ll see that the Curve Style is set to Symbol.

   Click on the picture of the symbol (the square itself) to the right.

   

   Reset the symbol style from Square Clear to Square – you’ll have to scroll upward in the list.

   Set the color to bright blue, and the size to Small.

   Click OK.

3. Back at the main Setup window, click the Apply button. In the background, you’ll see the changes have been applied to the column.

   ! Note that the changes also will apply to the header legend for the curve.

4. Now, click on the Main tab.

   Edit the left edge position to read 5.25

   

   Click Apply.

5. Click the Close button to close the Setup window.

   Now let’s edit the other curve column.

6. With the VOC Curve column still selected (it displays handles on its corners) select the Edit | Send to Back command, or right-click on the column and choose Send to Back from the pop-up menu. You’ll now see the other column lying on top.

   

7. Double-click on the circle-symbol Curve column to display its settings.
   
8. As before, click on the Appearance tab.

   Again, click on the picture of the circle-symbol to change its style and color.

   Reset the symbol style from Circle Clear to Circle, scrolling upward in the list as necessary.

   Set the color to red, and the size to small, and click OK.

9. At the main window, click Apply.

   You’ll see the symbol style change in the body column and in the header legend.

10. Now, click on the Main tab to access the location settings.

    Edit the left edge position to read 5.25.

    

11. Click Apply, and then click the Close button to close the Setup window.
    
12. Click on the Save File button (or choose File | Save) to save your work thus far.

TIP: You can also access the Curve Column settings by locating the name of the column in the Item View at the bottom of the design window, and double-clicking on it there.
