Save the Vector Symbol File under a Different Name

LogPlot permits you to maintain multiple vector Symbol files. You might, for example, wish to save a specific Symbol file in each project's folder, to be sure you have the proper symbol set.

To save an existing Symbol file under a new name (and in a new folder if necessary) follow these steps:

1. Select the File button at the top of the Select Symbol window.
   
2. Choose the Save As option.
   
3. In the displayed window, enter the name under which you wish to save the symbol listing, accessing other drives or folders as necessary. Note that vector symbol files must have the file name extension ".SYM."
   
4. Click on the Save button to save the symbol library under the new file name.
   

This is now considered to be the name of the active symbol file, and the name will be displayed in the title bar at the top of the Select Symbol window. The program will use this symbol file during compiling of logs, and this file will be listed as default under Options | System Files.
