Tutorial: Open a Project Folder

  1. First, access the Utilities program and datasheet by clicking on its button that lies near the top of the RockWorks window.

  1. Look at the Project Folder listing right below the upper menu items. 

We'll be working in the followng folder:  My Documents\RockWorks17 Data\Samples\.  If your current folder is different, continue on to Step 3 below.  If this is already displayed as the project folder, you can use the links at the bottom of the page to return to the main menu or start the next lesson.

  1. Click on the Project Folder item right below the uppermost program title bar and click Open Existing Project.

  1. In the displayed window, browse to the tutorial project folder we’ll be working with: First open your Documents folder (or "My Documents"), then the "RockWorks17 Data" folder, and the "Samples" folder which is inside of that.

You will be returned to the main data window, with that folder displayed as the current project folder.  All of the RockWorks-related files contained in this folder will be displayed in the Project Manager pane, along the left edge of the program window.
