Saving the Grid Model

RockWorks | Utilities | Grid Editor | File | Save

Any changes that you have made to the node values in the new or existing grid model can be saved using the two file-saving tools.

Step-by-Step Summary

  1. To save an existing grid file under the same name, simply click on the Save button or choose the File | Save command. The program will re-save the node values on disk under the current grid file name, or ...
  2. To save a new grid file or an existing grid file under a different name, click on the Save As button, or choose the File | Save As command. The program will display a standard Windows save-file window.
  3. Enter the name under which you wish to save the new or edited grid model. Typically, grid files are assigned a file name extension of ".RwGrd"
  4. Click Save to save the file.

The program will create a new grid file with the indicated name, and in it will be stored each grid node's X and Y location coordinate and Z-value.
