Export the Lithology Types to a Text File

Use the Lithology Types Table's File | Export to an ASCII File tool to export the keyword information to a text file. This can be necessary if you want to share the table with someone using an older version of RockWorks, or if you want to import the types into LogPlot.

Open your project's Lithology Types Table.
Select the File | Export to an ASCII File option.
Browse for the folder where you want to store the text version of your table.
In the File Name prompt, type in a name for the text table, and click OK. The default file name extension is "tab", but you can choose "txt" from the Save as Type list.

RockWorks will read the contents of the Lithology Types Table and store the information in a row and tab-delimited column format, as shown below.

These tab-delimited columns list (1) the keyword name, (2) the pattern index number/pattern density/background color/foreground color, (3) fill percent, (4) density, and (5) G value.
