- Cutoff-H: Insert a check in the Cutoff-H checkbox in the Solid Modeling Options window to restrict the horizontal "reach" of the selected modeling algorithm. If activated, RockWorks will first look at the horizontal proximity of control points as it's interpolating a node's value, and if there are no control points within the defined distance, the node will be assigned the Undefined Node value.
Click on the Cutoff-H tab to access the filter settings:
- Percent of Project Size: Click in this button if you wish to define the horizontal cutoff distance as a percent of the entire project extents. Type the percent value into the prompt, or use the up/down arrows to define it. For example, if you enter "10" then any nodes without control points within 10% of the project's size will be assigned the Undefined Node value.
Note that the project extents represent the 3D diagonal distance from the minimum XYZ point to the maximum XYZ point.
- Map Units: Click in this button if you wish to define the horizontal cutoff distance in actual map units. Any model nodes without any control points within this map distance will be Undefined.
- Cutoff-V: Insert a check in the Cutoff-V checkbox in the Solid Modeling Options window restrict the vertical reach of the selected modeling algorithm. If activated, RockWorks will first look at the vertical proximity of control points as it's interpolating a node's value; if there are no points within the defined distance, the node will be assigned the Undefined Node value.
Click on the Cutoff-V tab to access the filter settings:
- Percent of Project Size: Click in this button if you wish to define the vertical cutoff distance as a percent of the entire project extents. Type the percent value into the prompt, or use the up/down arrows to define it. For example, if you enter "1" then any nodes without control points within 1% of the project's size will be assigned the Undefined Node value.
As above, the project extents represent the 3D diagonal distance from the minimum XYZ point to the maximum XYZ point. The vertical percent may be smaller than the horizontal.
- Map Units: Click in this button if you wish to define the vertical cutoff distance in actual elevation units. Any model nodes without any control points within this distance will be Undefined.
