
Follow these steps to filter out low or high Z-values from display in the 3D surface.
- In the Data pane of the RockPlot3D window, right-click on the name of the surface to be modified and choose Options.
- Filter: Locate this section of the Grid Options window. You will see a Low and a High slider bar. Below the sliders, you will see the minimum and maximum grid node value.
- Low: Drag the Low slider from left to right to remove low values from the surface display. The current low value setting is displayed in the prompt to the right. You may also type a value into the prompt box.
- High: Drag the High slider from right to left to remove high values from the surface display. The current high value setting is displayed in the prompt to the right. You may type a value into the prompt box.
- Click the Apply button at any time to view the effect of your filtering changes on the surface. You may need to drag the Options window out of the way to view the display. You do not need to close the Grid Options window to apply and see the changes.
! Using the Apply button tells the program to invoke the changes you have made. You cannot discard changes once they have been applied.
Tip: Click the Info button at the very bottom of the window to see the grid model’s Z-value range.
