ReportWorks | File | Export | Bitmap
Use this ReportWorks program to save an existing .rwRpt document in a BMP format.
- File Name: Click on the small open-file button to type in the name to assign the exported file.
- Color Depth: Choose from the drop-down list box the color resolution you wish to use for the output BMP image. As you increase the color resolution, the output file will increase in size. For good color depth, you should probably choose 24 bits/pixel.
! Changing the pixels per inch and/or colors per pixel does not change the printable size of the graphic but instead the resolution of the image and the size on disk of the output file.
- Resolution (DPI): This setting defaults to 96 and will determine the resolution of the output graphic in dots or pixels per inch. As you increase the number of dots per inch, the disk size of the output file will increase. If you want to print the image at high resolution, you should increase the resolution to at least 300 pixels per inch.
- If necessary, open the .rwRpt file you wish to export.
- Select the Export command from the File menu. A pop-up menu will display the export options.
- Select the Bitmap option.
- Enter the requested information in the displayed program window, as described above.
- Click OK when you are ready to continue.
ReportWorks will store on disk the current ReportWorks document in a Windows Bitmap format at the resolution and color depth you specified.
