The System Files settings are accessed by clicking on the Options menu at the top of the LogPlot program window, and selecting the System Files option.
These settings are used to select the name of the Keyword, Pattern, and Symbol files (aka "libraries") to be used in the program. LogPlot permits you to maintain different copies of these files, for use with different data sets or in different project areas. For example, for a geotechnical soil boring log you might wish to use the USCS keyword and pattern library that are shipped with the program. For a water well, you may wish to use the USGS keyword and pattern files.
Many users find it handy to keep active keyword, pattern, and/or symbol files right within the directory in which their data files are stored, so that all project data can be kept together.
! You can also select the name of the active file from within the Keyword Editor, the Select Pattern window, and the Select Symbol window. Any file name changes you make in those program windows will be reflected in the System Files tab when it is next displayed.

All of these files are installed into your "C:\ProgramData\RockWare\LogPlot8" folder. There are other keyword, pattern, and symbol libraries to choose from.
