Use the Keyword Editor's File | Import | RockWorks Project menu option to import keywords from a RockWorks database. You can import keywords from Lithology, Stratigraphy, Well Construction, and/or Aquifer Types tables. Supported versions include RockWorks2006 -> RockWorks20.
- Open the Keyword Editor via LogPlot8's Options | Keyword Editor menu option.
- Click on the File button in the Keyword Editor and select the Import | Rockworks Project option.
- In the displayed window, enter the requested information:
- Source: Browse for the name of your RockWorks project folder where the database with the desired keywords is stored. Note that you are selecting the name of the project folder, not the actual RockWorks database. (In RockWorks, the database will have the same name as its project folder.)
- Select which of the available Types Tables in the RockWorks database are to be the source of the new keyword list, by clicking the appropriate boxes. You can choose from Lithology, Stratigraphy, Well Construction, and/or Aquifer Types.
! Note that unlike RockWorks, LogPlot maintains a single Keyword File. This means that your Well Construction keywords, for example, are stored in the same file as your Lithology keywords.
- Destination: Choose whether you want to append the keywords to the current listing, or create a new file with these terms only, by clicking in the appropriate radio button.
- If you have selected New Keyword File click the small browse button to the right of the file name prompt to browse for the folder where the new Keyword File will be stored. The default location for LogPlot8 Keyword files is C:\ProgramData\RockWare\LogPlot8\; you can store the keyword file in a different location if you prefer.
- Once you have the folder defined, type in the name to assign to the new Keyword File. The required file name extension is ".lpkey".
- Click OK.
LogPlot will load the contents of the selected keyword file into the Editor. This is now considered to be the name of the active keyword file, and the name will be displayed in the title bar at the top of the Keyword Editor window. The program will use this keyword file during compiling of logs, and this file will be listed as default under Options | System Files.
