Resample data values

The data resampler operates with data in a Point Data datasheet (i.e. "Curve" data) only.

! This tool will resample all of the columns in the active datasheet. All of the existing data will be replaced.

1. Click on the tab of the Point Data datasheet to be manipulated, to bringit to the front.
   
2. Right-click in any of the cells within the sheet.
   
3. Select the Columns command from the displayed menu, and then choose Resample from the pop-up menu.
   
4. In the displayed window, enter the requested information.
   • Start: In this prompt, type in the depth at which you wish to start the resampling.
   • Interval: Type here the resampling interval. For example, if the existing depth units are in feet and you wish to resample them at every half foot, you would enter "0.5".
   • Decimal places: Enter the number of decimal places to be represented in the resampled data values.
   • Method: Here you can select the resampling method.
   • • Interpolation - Weighted Values: This option will perform a distance-weighted selection of the data values, locating the two closest depths to the resampled interval and averaging their data values based on their distance from the resampled interval. The closer value will be weighted more than the more distant value.
     • Closest Point: This option simply selects the point closest to the resampled interval.

5. Click OK.

LogPlot will resample the data to the requested interval, assigning data values using the requested method.
