Follow these steps:
- Click on the tab of the datasheet to be manipulated to bring it to the front.
- Right-click in any of the cells within the datasheet.
- Select the Columns option from the displayed menu, and then choose Math from the pop-up menu.
- From the next pop-up menu, choose Constant if you wish to add/subtract/multiply/divide the values in one of the columns with a constant. You might choose this option, for example, if you wanted to multiply your elog data by "100" to plot them at the same range as another trace.
Or, choose the Column sub-option if you wish to add/subtract/multiply/divide the values in one of the columns with the corresponding values in another column on the current tab.
- In the displayed window, enter the requested information.
- Column 1: From the upper drop-down list, choose the name of the column in the current datasheet that contains the data values to be manipulated.
- Operator: In the small drop-down list below and to the left, select the arithmetic operation.
- Column 2: In the list box to the right of this, choose the name of the column containing the data to be added to/subtracted from/multiplied by/divided into the upper data values (if Column). Or…
- Constant: In the prompt box, type in the real number value to be used as the constant to be added to/subtracted from/multiplied by/divided into the upper data values (if Constant).
- Column 3: In the final list box, select the name of the column into which the computed values are to be listed. Any existing values in this column will be overwritten!
- Decimals: Enter the requested number of decimal places to be represented in the output values.
- Click OK.
LogPlot will perform the selected operation on the numeric values read from the selected data columns. The results will be listed in the selected output column. Any non-numeric values will be interpreted as "0."
