The required format for data being imported into LogPlot from Excel is identical to the format of LogPlot data exported to Excel. Here is a summary of the different Excel Worksheets, which correspond to the different LogPlot data tabs; click on a link below to jump to its description.

Required: This worksheet must be present and must contain data for the import to be successful.

Notes:
The Bore column is required, and will be used to reference the data in the other Excel worksheets. Other fields, if unknown, can be left blank. For example, you can omit the well location information from columns 4 and 5, but be sure that the column count is correct if you enter the KB elevation (which must be in column #5).

Optional. This worksheet is used to list raster image file names and their depth intervals for import into a LogPlot Bitmap tab. These images can be displayed in the log body.

This data can be displayed in the log headers and footers in Edit-Notes fields, typically used for entry of multi-line comments that change from well to well. Optional. This worksheet is used to list text to be imported into a LogPlot Edit-Text tab. This is information that can be displayed in log headers and footers, in Edit-Text fields. These are used for short text labels that change from well to well (dates, names, etc.). For the data format for listing multi-line text, see Edit-Notes.
Worksheet name in Excel: EDT_name_GRD Note that the name field is optional. If no group name is desired for the Edit Text entries, the worksheet name can be simply EDITGRD.

Optional. This worksheet is used to list one or more depth intervals and optional keywords to be imported into a LogPlot Fillbar tab. This information is displayed as color/pattern-filled intervals on the log. Optional is an entry in the "fill" field - if absent the fillbar will show the default fill color/pattern, while if present the bar will be filled with the color/pattern associated with the keyword.
