Use the Color Range Filter to limit the processing (solid modeling, gridding, etc.) to data points with recorded colors within a specified tolerance of a defined color. This filter is available only for Colors data. This input filter can be helpful for removing unwanted colors (such as black) which resulted from core photos.
- Desired Color: Click on the color box to select the starting color for the input filter. Here you have some choices.
- Black: Click here if you wish to exclude black from the input colors.
- White: Click here if you wish to exclude white from the input colors.
- Select from Palette: Click here to see a standard Windows palette where you can choose the desired color.
- Pick from Image: Click here to browse for the name of a raster image file which will be displayed on the screen. Click on a pixel in the image to select that color. You can use the Zoom setting at the bottom of the window to increase/decrease the size of the image.
- Tolerance (0 to 100%): Here, type in the range of colors to either side of the Desired Color, as a percent, which are to be included in the modeling process. Tolerance is expressed as a percentage whereby 100 corresponds to all possible colors while zero would limit the visible voxels to only those that have exactly the same color value.
