Step 5: Set up Tadpoles

Menu Options

Your LogPlot data files and log designs can contain Tadpole columns used to represent depth-related dipmeter (orientation and dip) data.  This data can be imported into one of two columns in RockWorks: Vectors or Fractures.  The former can be displayed as scaled arrows in 3D logs, and the latter can be displayed as oriented discs in 3D logs, as well as solid-modeled for display as isosurfaces/fences/sections representing fracture proximities.

If you have no Tadpole data, these settings will be ignored.

  1. Click on the Configure window’s Tadpoles tab.

  1. Click on the arrow to the right of the Fractures or Vectors label to pick the name of the LogPlot Tadpoles data to be imported to that data type.  If no data is to be imported to that format, set the option to None.

  2. Click the Next button to proceed to the next step.
